Hello and welcome to Getting Better Love.  My goal is to give you proven ideas for improving your relationships with those you love.  I hope you enjoy the site and profit from the ideas.

My name is Byron.  I am a licensed mental health professional with 40 years experience in teaching others how to relate better with the people they care about.

During my twenties, I realized I was terrible at relationships as I came out of an unhappy marriage.  Shortly after the seperation and divorce was finalized, I decided to seek help.  I was blessed with a really great therapist by the name of Charlie. He helped me find a path to learning and growing that I have been walking ever since.  I love this path so much  that I changed my career field from broadcast journalism to mental health counseling.  I still love helping people to achieve better results in their personal relationships and improve their self-image in the process.

During my career as a therapist and change agent, I have worked with people from all walks of life.  I have primarily worked with adults however, I did invest six years in working with early adolescent and adolescent children as a school mental health provider.  The other 34 years was spent working with adults in settings that included my home state’s prison system, the VA Medical System, and private practice.  For the past five years, I have been in full time private practice working with couples and families.

I am happily married to the love of my life Sue.  We have been together for 38 years and look forward to many more.  We have raised 3 children together and have been enjoying the 8 grandchildren they have given us.

My original desire to help people remains today.  I love seeing people regain belief in themselves and the birth of hope for their dreams of loving and being loved.

The goal for the site is help you answer questions about relationships in your life, the ones you desire to hold on to.  I also want to help people who do not know how to attract a partner learn how to do so in ethical and self respecting ways.

If you ever need a hand or have ay questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,
